Not just a string quartet- but conductor, too!

Christina Johnson - the band leader of Follow The River string quartet wears many hats. The Newport News Public School invited her to be one of the conductors for their All City Music Festival. She conducted the middle school strings which included 52 students! The final performance was at the Ferguson Center for the Arts on the campus of Christopher Newport University. Most adults who play professionally have also participated in youth symphonies and/or school programs. The concert was January 16th, 2025.
